It was the big day.

Takanori was sitting on his bed, glaring at his "closet".

He wasn't really going to take anything from there, was he?

He ran his finger over the flat mattress, feeling small, cottony lumps over it. It was so old, so used, and more importantly, so full of tears. All those tears that Takanori poured into it over the years during those moments where he felt ugly. Those moments when he looked at Kouyou, his beautiful hair, gorgeous eyes and lips, and that reflected the possibility of him being a goddess in the past life. Takanori envied that so much of him, and he was one of the reasons that he had shed so many tears.

That, and the lost hope of freedom.

Things were so different now, and it hadn't even been 2 weeks yet. It had been a few days that freedom had felt so close that he could feel it on his lips, taste it on his tongue, and swallow it. The feeling was kind of refreshing to him, and he couldn't believe it. It was a wonderful feeling in his stomach that made his lips curve up into a smile. How he longed for freedom, and how he knew it was way too close to let go of. It was so hard to understand it.

It was so hard to understand how Kouyou had changed so much.

Takanori glanced over at Kouyou who sat cross-legged on the floor. He was holding a piece of cheese, cutting off tiny bits of it and tossing them to the corner, where a mouse sat, eagerly waiting for its lunch. Kouyou's eyes were cloudy and Takanori didn't understand how. He looked so sad, so broken. Why wasn't he as happy as he was? They were so close to freedom! He should have been bouncing off the walls now, cheering with a giddy grin plastered on his face. Instead, he was blue, pouting.

"This is the last time he will be loved." Kouyou tore another piece of cheese and tossed it over to the mouse. The mouse's eyes looked grateful, as a toothed grin appeared on its face, and it slowly approached Kouyou, wondering if it was finally safe enough to approach Kouyou without the fear of him smacking a glass plate down.

"He'll find love somehow." Takanori watched the mouse, and how Kouyou extended his long finger to pet the critter's head. The mouse squeaked as Kouyou placed the larger piece of cheese down so the mouse could celebrate his feast.

"Won't he get lonely?" Kouyou frowned a little.

"It doesn't matter. He's not really the kind that deserves love in this world." Takanori got up from the bed to join Kouyou on the floor. Kouyou didn't move at all. He didn't even glance at Takanori to acknowledge his presence.

"What a mean thing to say."

"Well, it's true, isn't it?" Takanori's voice sounded shaky and defensive, and Kouyou didn't pay much attention to it.

"Even the most bitter things need to be loved." Kouyou took the mouse off the floor. The mouse shook in fear, and then Kouyou continued to pet him. He finally felt comfortable and he began cuddling against Kouyou's thumb. He then freed the mouse and allowed it to continue to eat possibly it's last meal. "No love is what makes them bitter."

"He doesn't appreciate love. That's why he's bitter."

They sat in silence for a few moments, only the happy squeals of the mouse were heard. It was so sad that he was so unaware that soon he'd have no company. Soon, life would not be worth living and he'd be alone in this world without any help. Without any love. Without anyone to let him live a happier life. It was pretty depressing to think this way.

"I don't like him." Takanori sighed.

"I'm going to miss him, I think."

It was kind of awkward to hear Kouyou talking this way. He had cared about a lot of things, but never something that harmed the world. Something that brought discomfort to the world was not to be appreciated. Something that brought screams and something that brought pain and something that brought famine weren't meant to be alive.

They hadn't been talking about the mouse the whole time and they knew it.

They hadn't been talking about him at all.

Akira was sitting on his bed, looking out the large windows of the mansion. It had such a beautiful view. It had been a shame that Akira's initial plans had been changed by having met Takanori. This house would have been his, and his heart wouldn't be as scared as it had been right now. He was nervous and he knew the reason why. He was scared of Yuu. He was scared of what he could be capable of. More importantly, he was scared of failing Takanori.

Yep.

That was the biggest worry that was inside of him right now. Takanori wouldn't have a mind agile enough to understand how complicated it was for them to leave. They would have very little time to flee, because Akira knew that Yuu wouldn't be held back by a locked door for too long. They would have to tie him up, but there was no rope anywhere in the house, or so Yutaka had said. They couldn't just leave and go shop for some rope either. It would be way too obvious and Yuu would quickly notice what they were trying to do.

All of this had been way to risky to begin with, an adding another problem would just mess everything up. Akira took the paper out of his pocket, looking at it and feeling it with his fingers. He didn't know how it was possible that such a simple piece of paper could be so perfect. It was beautiful to him. It was a tearjerker. It was the only thing that could possibly get him Takanori's love. All the answers to his problems were right there on that piece of paper.

cell213

Curiosity was in the back of Akira's mind, wondering what that could possibly mean. Perhaps it was the cell Yuu belonged in if he ever went to jail. As if Yuu would have that planned, but the guy seemed to be pretty psycho so that wouldn't really surprise Akira at all. He ripped up the piece of paper and he stuck the bits in his pocket for safe keeping. He knew the password already so why worry about that now. He wouldn't forget it. Akira never forgot things as important as that.

Akira placed his suitcase on his bed and opened it. Carefully scanning it, he pressed his fingers over some of his favorite clothes before leaning over and kissing those items. He wasn't going to take his things. It would create another risk. He took his keys from it, along with his PDA, iPhone, and a crumpled up picture of his mother. He put his keys in a chain that he had and tied them along his waist for safekeeping.

He really was going to miss his clothes, but he decided that Takanori was more important. Akira saw him as the first snowflake on a winter day. The one that brought hopes of no school to young children, just as it signaled the other snowflakes to come down. Akira smiled, imagining how cute Takanori would look in a snowflake outfit. He knew he would totally have to make Takanori wear something that like that sooner or later. Later was what Takanori would decide. Perhaps when they were a little closer?

A knock was heard on the door, and before is heart stopped, it was opened to reveal Yutaka. He walked in, quietly closing the door behind him with a grin. He had his keys stuck to his belt loop and a bag with a few small wooden boxes. Akira eyeballed them kind of funny, which led Yutaka to sit down next to Akira and explain.

"I made some food for the trip." Yutaka giggled. "You know, in case we get hungry."

"I live about an hour away. It's not that far, Yutaka." Akira couldn't help chuckling at how excited the other seemed to be leaving this place. He didn't seem like he wanted to carry any of his old things, as he hoped none of the other passengers would. Yutaka was really cute and Akira hoped that would find happiness someday. That smile of his could make the coldest person in the world's heart melt. He wondered why Yuu hadn't fallen for that yet, but he didn't ponder too much on the thought.

"Are you ready?" Yutaka snapped Akira out of his thoughts. Akira looked at him straight in the eyes, and the dimples were beginning to show as the grin got bigger. Yutaka really was eager. Akira gave a quick nod and they got up.

The two sprinted off the bed and hurried to Yuu's room. Pressing his ear against the door, Yutaka locked the door from the outside as quietly as he could. It was still very quiet in Yuu's room, so he concluded that he was probably still asleep, or perhaps he was sitting in the Jacuzzi. It wouldn't be too odd for him to be doing so, since that was his favorite pastime anyways.

Regardless of how easy the task had become since Yuu was quiet and he didn't notice that he was being trapped, Akira still was nervous and he seemed to be shaking uncontrollably now. Yutaka placed a hand on his shoulder and found himself pulling him into a tight hug. He knew how breaking the rules felt. It was not a nice feeling at all.

"Let's go get the others." Yutaka smiled.

-

"Are you all ready?" Akira said as they all stood in front of the door of the mansion. All it took was opening it, slipping out to his car and punching having someone punch in the numbers as they left. It wasn't that big of a deal now, but yet they were all excited. Takanori seemed to be the happiest of them all, his grin not being able to stop. Akira didn't want to look stupid, blushing at how cute the other looked, so he looked away and focused his eyes on Kouyou.

He looked like he was being forced out of the house, his lips being completely still. He wasn't frowning, but the disappointment and regret was so clear in his eyes. They were grayed out, and sad, foggy. Just not a good sight to look at, although Kouyou was very beautiful, he was giving a vibe that could make even the happiest person in the world the urge to frown. Not Kouyou, of course. Kouyou was way too excited to notice anything around him.

"YES YES I'M READY!" Takanori squealed, hugging Akira. Although he didn't want to admit it, he love Akira. He loved how hard this guy worked to have him and he loved how he had brought him the closest he had ever been to freedom. It was almost time though, and Takanori just wanted to dash out of there faster than it would take him to blink 3 times. Akira smiled and opened the door, Yutaka being the second one to follow and Kouyou being left last.

Akira took the driver's seat, Takanori took the passenger seat next to him and Yutaka and Kouyou took the back of it. Takanori put on his seat belt, just in case Yuu would even think of yanking him out of the car, although he knew he was locked up in his room. The fear still stung inside of him, but he would never let himself be taken by this fear. He'd just make sure that nothing would happen.

"That's odd." Akira mumbled after pressing the password into the number pad. "It's not opening it. It says it's wrong."

Takanori's excitement was shattered and now he was shaking, covering his face, and letting out choked sobs. Akira looked at Yutaka with a confused face, and Yutaka looked back at the window of Yuu's room. What happened? What was wrong with this? What else could this cell213 mean?

Yuu was the only to know all of this.

Yuu was also the only one being freed, since he had slammed a chair against the knob of his door, and was now running down the steps. Boy, he loved being a party pooper. There was no need to be late. An evil grin and a hat later, Yuu was stepping out the door.
